3 members of the Junior Showjumping team rushed back from school today (24th Feb 16'), to have a jumping lesson with Richard Waygood MBE. Lizzie, Shannon, Millie and their ponies had a fantastic session and learned a great deal. Richard Waygood was appointed Chef d’Equipe of the senior British dressage team in 2010 and is the team manager and a trainer of Team GB CCI2*Eventing Team. . Jessie, Karen & Sharon had all got double clears in the team jumping this weekend (21st February) and so where looking strong into the jump off. As Sharon entered the ring all she had to do was have a clear jump off like her two team mates before her, to take the 1st place. Everything was going to plan then at the very last jump Sharons horses back foot touched the pole and it rolled to the floor. Nick from the BRC came to Lake Farm on Sunday 14th Feb. to tag hats in prepration for the coming season of Riding Club events. It was a great success and Nick and his wife said they nearly ran out of tags as so many people came. Great to see so many riders from both clubs getting prepared for a great year ahead.
